CNYFA/VFIS Scholarship Announcement
The Central New York Firefighters Association (CNYFA), in collaboration with VFIS, is honored to express gratitude to the families of firefighters who selflessly dedicate themselves to the safety and well-being of our communities. As part of this recognition, we are pleased to offer two $500 scholarships annually to help alleviate the financial burden of higher education for deserving students.
Scholarship Overview
The scholarships are awarded based on the review of applications, essays, and letters of recommendation by a committee comprising elected and past officers of CNYFA and representatives from VFIS. Applicants with the highest scores will receive the awards.
Scholarship presentations will be conducted at the recipient’s local school or their sponsoring fire department.
Thank you for applying for this opportunity, and we wish all applicants the best of luck!
Sincerely,
The Scholarship Committee
